Qualifications and Experience

Steph studied Physiotherapy at The University West of England and graduated in 2016. She started her physio journey working in the NHS for just over two years gaining experience in surgery, acute medical, cardio thoracics, post-operative Trauma and Orthopaedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal outpatients. However Steph soon realised her passion was in musculoskeletal conditions and rehabilitation and therefore moved to Total Therapy.

Steph has also recently started work with the Southampton Football club academy teams on a weekend.

Skills

Steph’s has a diverse range of skills due to her rotations within the NHS.  Sheph worked in acute medical, cardio thoracics, post-operative Trauma and Orthopaedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal outpatients.

Passions

If Steph isn’t in the clinic she can be found riding her horses at home. Steph started riding at just 3 years old and has continued ever since! Steph travels the country show jumping competitively and can often be seen in the horse and hound magazine.

Why did you become a Physiotherapist?

Being a keen sportsperson, Steph has suffered many injuries over time and relied on the help from various physios to get her back to full fighting fitness. The rehabilitation and changes she saw in herself then led her down this road and Steph’s passion to help others has grown ever since!
