QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Sheila is a Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist, a Personal Trainer, group exercise instructor and a primary school teacher. Her specialist interest lies in working with sports people and amateur athletes – so that’s anyone who enjoys a walk, run, cycle, game of tennis or golf, football, in fact just about any activity you can think of. She is able to assist pre event massage; in event recovery, injury rehabilitation and sports specific exercises for injury prevention.
Sheila enjoys running, the further the better. She has completed a number of marathons, ultra-marathons and hopes to have run 50 of these in the next 18 months. Understandably her professional passions are in helping others to achieve their own fitness goals through remaining injury free – regular sports massage is the way to do this.
WHY DID SHEILA BECOME A SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST?
Sheila enjoys running, a lot! Through this interest she developed a passion and thirst for knowledge about the workings of the human body, particularly muscular development and the effect of exercise on the body. As a trainer she knows how to develop the body and improve fitness, but as a massage therapist she has become fascinated with the ability to feel muscular imbalances and adhesions and the ability to assist in the correction of these.
WHERE WOULD WE FIND SHEILA IN HER SPARE TIME?
In her spare time you will find Sheila running around the New Forest or along the beach, perhaps in the gym or cycling somewhere.
