A local to Poole, Mike graduated from the University of Glamorgan with a BSc (Hons) in Medical Sciences with the intention of studying postgraduate medicine. Having been treated at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, and seeing the amazing benefits of chiropractic care, he changed tack and enrolled on a further 4 years to gain a Master of Chiropractic degree from the University of South Wales.
Being an undergraduate again he decided to keep busy by qualifying and working as a Strength and Conditioning coach during that time and joined the Army Reserve as a Combat Medical Technician. While in university Mike worked closely with Athletes from the university as well as local Semi-professional rugby clubs, gaining valuable experience in Sports Chiropractic.
After graduating Mike worked in Cardiff where he continued to work hard to develop and look for the root cause of a patient’s complaint rather than focussing on the symptoms.
Mike is still studying and last year completed a PgCert in professional development, this year he will be finishing off the process of becoming an internationally recognised sports chiropractor.
As a chiropractor Mike approaches everything from a Biopsychosocial perspective. Examining and treating the neurology and biomechanics of a patient through specific chiropractic adjustment and numerous associated soft tissue techniques.
Helping people achieve their full potential so they can keep doing what they love.
Rugby, skiing (both recreational and racing), water sports and generally the great outdoors.
I started receiving Chiropractic treatment and felt better than I had done for years! Regular treatment allowed me to play more sport and train more which helped me reach a higher standard of rugby.
Alongside work, studies and physical pursuits I am also learning Norwegian, so I can communicate with my Fiancée’s family
