Manfred Suttner qualified as a physiotherapist in 1993 in Utrecht, The Netherlands, originally being motivated in this area from his own background in various sports; running, cycling, athletics and martial arts and the recurring injuries sustained from this! He has lived and has worked as a physiotherapist in the UK since 1994 in both NHS and private clinics.
Settling in Dorset in 1997, Manfred worked at Victoria Hospital in Wimborne from 1997 until 2000 and at the Bournemouth Nuffield Hospital from 2000 until 2010, during which time he completed a post graduate diploma in Acupuncture.
Since 2010 he has been back in private practice, working in local clinics, setting up a physiotherapy service in Wimborne and later in Parkstone and occasionally in London.
He has extensive experience treating patients of all walks of life and ages and has a special interest in spinal related conditions and chronic / recurring pain. He has done extensive post graduate training in various forms of manual therapy and has a very “hands on” approach. He is also giving physiotherapy support at youth elite karate training events held in the New Forest.
Manfred is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, member of PhysioFirst and an advanced member of the Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapists (AACP) and registered with the HCPC.
In his spare time Manfred enjoys long beach walks, meditation practise and in recent years finding the time and commitment to practicing violin (which hopefully will sound good to other people’s ears one day!)”
