PASSIONS

I volunteer weekly with STARs, Dorset (Sexual Trauma and Recovery Service) providing one-to-one therapeutic support for clients who have experienced sexual violence, domestic abuse and childhood abuse. I feel privileged when clients feel safe enough to share their thoughts, feelings and emotions and we can start to explore their journey to recovery.

WHY DID YOU BECOME A COUNSELLOR?

I have spent my whole career working in the Health, Fitness and Wellbeing sector as a tutor and instructor. I am now focused on mental wellbeing and the growth of my counselling practice. I take enormous pleasure from supporting clients to improve their understanding of themselves; leading towards a more fulfilled life.

GET TO KNOW LORI:

I like to take advantage of living in such a beautiful part of the world and being outside with my family. I also love to improve my own physical fitness by taking part in Pilates, Gym and Zumba classes. I particularly enjoy swimming as a way of relaxing and reflecting on myself and my client’s journeys.
