QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Katie qualified with a first-class BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy from Bournemouth University in 2020. She is also a member of the Society of Sports Therapists (SST).
She provides a range of hands-on treatment techniques to improve patients’ movement and minimise their discomfort, as well as to strengthen individuals post-injury to help them get back to sport and everyday activities.
During her studies, she provided clinical and pitch-side treatment for the AFC Bournemouth Community Trust teams – including the women’s and girls’ teams – and the Cerebral Palsy team.
WHY DID KATIE BECOME A SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST?
Katie became a Sports Therapist because she wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives by improving their health and wellbeing. Through her own fitness activities, she became particularly interested in using rehabilitation and massage therapy, especially for those recovering from injuries.
WHERE WOULD WE FIND KATIE IN HER SPARE TIME?
Outside of work Katie loves playing and coaching sport, especially lacrosse and tennis. She also enjoys going to the gym and socialising with friends.
