Qualifications and Experience

Laurence is a conscientious and progressive practitioner, always looking to offer the best treatment and advice to everyone who walks through his door. Always keen to expand his knowledge, alongside his degree in Sports Therapy, Laurence has also undertaken a REPS personal training qualification, kinesiology taping and manipulation and mobilisation courses.

BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy – University of St. Mark and St. John, Plymouth. Laurence also has the following qualifications: REPS Certified Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 1 and 2 Kinesiology Power Taping, Level 1 Emergency First Aid and Trauma, Level 1 Mobilisations and Manipulations. Laurence has an impressive record of sports based experience, including: Plymouth Argyle Football Club – Assistance First Team Therapist, MARJON University Sports Injury Clinic – Sports Injury Therapist, MARJON University Football and Hockey – Head Therapist.

Passions

Laurence has a passion for all things sport and working with people from all sporting backgrounds has allowed him to expand his knowledge and progress as a practitioner. A majority of his experience lies with runners, cyclists, hockey players and weight lifters. Laurence firmly believes in working with a holistic approach to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Why did you become a Sports Therapist?

Playing football from a young age, I have always struggled with injuries and fully understand the frustration of not being able to play the sport you love. This sparked my interest and enthusiasm in sport injuries, rehabilitation, performance and injury prevention. As a result of my previous experiences, I take great satisfaction in aiding sports men and women of all levels to reach their peak again and coming back stronger after injury.

Where would we find you in your spare time?

In my spare time I am either playing the aforementioned sports, at the gym or planning a holiday or trip somewhere!
